How to Set Up IPTV on Android Phone, Tablet and TV Box

Watch on the go or connect an Android TV box to your TV.

Android devices are a flexible way to watch View IPTV. A phone or tablet lets you watch in bed, on a trip or on the train, and an Android TV box brings the same app to your television. All of them use the same type of compatible IPTV player app, so you only need to learn the steps once.

This guide explains how to install an IPTV player app from the Google Play Store, sign in, and make sure the TV guide is working. It also includes a short section on using an Android TV box with a remote control, which feels a bit different from using a touchscreen.

What you need

  • An Android phone, tablet or Android TV box with a recent version of Android.
  • A Google account signed in to the Play Store.
  • Your View IPTV login details. Ask for a free trial on WhatsApp if you do not have them yet.
  • A solid Wi-Fi connection. Mobile data works too, but video uses a lot of data, so Wi-Fi is better.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Open the Google Play Store. Tap the Play Store icon on your phone or tablet. On an Android TV box, open the Play Store from the home screen.
  2. Search for a compatible IPTV player app. Search for IPTV player. Pick an app that supports login with a username and password or a playlist address, and that has a good number of recent updates.
  3. Install the app. Tap Install and wait for it to finish, then tap Open. Allow notifications only if you want them.
  4. Add your subscription. Choose Add playlist or Login and type in the details from your welcome message. On a phone, you can copy and paste them from WhatsApp to avoid typing mistakes.
  5. Let the app load the channel list. Keep the app open for a minute while it loads your channels, movies and the TV guide for the first time.
  6. Check the TV guide. Open the guide and make sure program names and times are showing. If they are not, use the refresh option in the app settings.
  7. Save your favorites. Mark the channels you watch most as favorites so they are easy to reach with one tap or one remote press.

Using an Android TV box with a remote

On a touchscreen you tap a channel. On a TV box you use arrow keys, so it helps to set up favorites and categories first. Create a favorites list with your top ten channels and the guide becomes much faster to use.

A voice remote, if your box has one, can also open the app and search for programs. If the box offers a choice of video output, set it to the resolution that matches your TV, and enable automatic frame-rate matching if available so motion looks smooth.

On phones and tablets, use the picture-in-picture option if the app supports it. It lets you keep a small window of your channel on screen while you answer a message.

Tips for smooth viewing

  • Turn on auto-rotate on your phone so videos can play in full screen in landscape mode.
  • Keep battery saver off while you watch. Aggressive power saving can close the app in the background.
  • On an Android TV box, use an Ethernet cable when possible. It gives a steadier connection than Wi-Fi for 4K.
  • Watching on mobile data can use several gigabytes per hour, so prefer Wi-Fi when you can.

Android phone, tablet & TV box setup questions

Can I use one subscription on my phone and my TV box?

Yes, as long as your plan has enough screens for the devices you use at the same time. Two screens cost 50% more and three cost 90% more than one.

Does View IPTV work on Android tablets?

Yes. A tablet works the same way as a phone and has a larger screen, which many people prefer for movies.

What if the app shows a login error?

Check for extra spaces and capital letters in your details, then message us on WhatsApp. We can check your account and send the details again.
